I have a lot of homework left but took a half hour break to play with Pencil anyway. I think I downloaded it a few years ago. The program is kind of buggy and it kept quitting out on me, but it’s a lot easier to animate in than Photoshop.

I then wrestled this into .gif form because .mov files aren’t that great for <1 second videos. If there’s an easy way to get pencil files into gifs I would love to know it.

Here’s a very rough walk cycle I tried. There’s no in-betweens, just the basic poses. I miiiiight go in and add more frames/color it or I might just start over and do a different walk. Or I’ll just leave it alone and get my homework done.

I’m making an effort to teach myself how to animate.

I still have no idea what I’m doing! But I’ve stopped being so crazy about smears and actually inbetween’d this one to make it smoother.

This is only 10 frames, so it’s not quite as smooth as it could be but I’m pretty happy with it!
